I grew up in South Vancouver so needless to say, there’s a special place in my heart for Superstore. I remember running through the aisles with my sister when it was brand new, smelling all the cool spices and testing all the lipsticks. Helping find a unique position for the brand has been super fun and it also feels good giving back for all those gummies I stole from the bulk section. Canadian food has a reputation for being undefinable. It’s even been said that Canada has no cuisine. But real Canadians know the glory of Sunday dimsum, of hot takeout samosas, of trying a friend’s grandma’s home cooking. Real Canadian food is diverse and incredible. This is who we are as Canadians, told through the foods we love.
